Welcome back! Last week I touched on God’s Code and how it was inherent in all living and non-living natural things. This week I’d like to talk about the beginnings of these ‘codes’ and how we have the ability to recreate them, too. A Science class? Hardly! This began way before science! ‘Science’ is the word we use to describe what God has already put into place. Here we go!

As mentioned - all, natural, things have The Code; living? The Code is constantly moving, computing and operating. Non-living? The Code doesn’t move compute or operate. At the start of everything that ‘popped’ into existence, this Code was designed (yes, designed) by a very intelligent (actually, it’s beyond intelligence) entity – most call this entity, God. God created a Code for EVERTHING – billions of lines of mathematical equations that we can NEVER fully understand – we only need to be aware that it exists. God Created a basic code, for example, a fox, a bird, a human, a tree, an apple, a rock etc.

Now here’s the GIFT that we were GIVEN - handed down DIRECTLY from God HIMSELF! ALL living things are able to RECREATE God’s Code in order to create ANOTHER form of life similar to its creators! THAT’S God’s GIFT of LIFE! We don’t need to know The Code, nor think about it or figure it out – we simply have to merge two Codes (filled with billions of different calculations) supplied by one male and one female. Once merged, these Codes begin their ‘magic’! God DIRECTLY created the INITIAL Codes that began this whole process of life. Living things DIRECTLY create the ‘new’ living thing,  INDIRECTLY created by God as He allowed us to 'know' His Code without 'knowing' His Code. God however, DOES DIRECTLY create the Soul – for in the end, it’s the only thing He wants! In other words, He no longer Directly Creates any living thing's physical make-up - although, He set it up, initially - He does DIRECTLY create a Human Soul (the only living thing that has them).

Could you imagine the hilarity (and impossibility) of having to know this Code in order to create another living thing? We would’ve expired on Day 2! Yet, we’ve been creating and transferring God’s Code for a loooooooong time – effortlessly and, when done correctly, pleasurably! When you walk around today with your busy lives and schedules, know this: YOU, as well as other living things (plants and animals, THEY know it already) that YOU are a carrier of God’s Code! It is keeping you alive, giving you your talents, and allowing you to pass on The Code without having to go through any schooling to understand it (anyhow, you COULDN’T)!

I understand that many times, a living thing is unable to recreate The Code. Sickness, deformity, and disability keeps that from happening. Why would God let this happen? Join me next week for Part 3. See you then!

Mike's Super Easy Sunday Message 'The God Code' Part 1

Hello fellow readers! This week I want to start something new – a series. There has been an important message that I’ve always wanted to share but, wasn’t able to in a one week 4-paragraph-read. I just spoke on this very subject, yesterday, for a full hour – and I didn’t even scratch the surface! But, in the end, I was able to ‘open the eyes’ of some believers, while also leaving the ‘die-hard’ Atheist scratching their head, questioning, “Hmmm…?” This message has been gnawing at me because I didn’t know how to ‘get it out’ without standing ‘LIVE in front of a studio audience’ with a white board and marker – complete with body-motions, drawings, humor etc. – not knowing how this message could be WRITTEN to get the same point across. If you can bear with me and follow my ‘gibberings’, I believe you’ll understand. This series (not sure how many parts it’ll be) I would like to call, The God Code.

What is The God Code (God’s Code)? A code of ethics? Conduct? Silence? Zip? Area? WHAT?!? Also, PLEASE keep in mind, I received this ‘message’ during my 4-second ‘death’ (along with dozens of others, each with their own intricacies). This message is NOT my ‘opinion’ after sitting & thinking, long and hard at a table with charts, protractors and a Number 2 pencil! You are getting this message EXACTLY the way I received it – no writer’s embellishments! If you disagree, that’s fine – I’m not in the ‘convincing’ business – I’m simply sharing. But I will ask you to keep your mind opened as wide as it could go! Let’s begin.

First off, in order to understand The God Code, one would have to believe in God, no? Actually, no. This Code is written in EVERY natural thing – living (vegetation, animals, etc.) or non-living (rocks, soil, sand, etc.) as these ‘things’ are undisputed by believers and non-believers, alike. Whether we believe the Earth was ‘banged’ into existence millions of years ago or ‘created’ by an intelligent designer just thousands of years ago, one thing is almost always agreed upon - there WAS some kind of ‘beginning’ - a start to ALL of this – with ‘new beginnings’ taking place ALL THE TIME – long after the initial one! “You mean God is still creating ‘new’ things?” “What are you talking about? This is biology working at its finest!”

Let’s try to do this in chronological order, shall we? In the beginning…wait, I’ve heard this before. Let’s fast-forward a bit. Let’s look at something we could relate to, like…hmmm…us! We are a living thing. There are MANY living things. There are also many non-living things. The difference between the two is, Life. What makes something ‘alive’? This is where it could get tricky. EVERY natural THING – alive or not - has this Code! It was established ‘in the beginning’. In fact, it WAS the beginning! However, The Code in LIVING things is constantly moving, computing, and operating. The Code in NON-living things is simply constant – not moving, computing, nor operating although, it STILL has a Code. THOSE are the BASICS between natural LIVING and natural NON-LIVING things. Chew on that thought until next time!

Death?

Ok, elephant in the room: Death, dead, die, died. Words we don’t like to utter. In fact, some won’t even say them because of their associated ‘curse’ or ‘taboo’. One thing’s for sure – the very definition of those words brings about unrest, uneasiness, sadness, anger, hopelessness and, biggest of all, disbelief in knowing God. Let’s talk about ‘death’ and why God allows it.

This new year, my personal life was affected by Death twice within a week from each other. My stepdad of 40 years, Dennis, died on New Year’s Eve. He was ill for quite some time and while some sicknesses seem to bring the ‘death sentence’, there’s always that hope that they’ll somehow pull out of it. Then, exactly one week later, I lost a friend and radio co-worker, Elisa, 38, (an avid reader of these Sunday messages) with no inherent sickness (that we knew of), entered the hospital Christmas Day ‘not feeling well’, dies, suddenly, this past Tuesday. In conversation with her on Monday, did we know it was to be our last one? Where was God?

“God, how could you take someone so early?!” “God, that person was so good and did so much for the community! Why did she deserve to die at such an early age?!” First off, know this: God is NOT in the business of ‘killing’ or ‘taking’ people away from us! He loves us! Stop blaming God for stealing people’s lives so that the living may suffer from it! God IS in the business of ‘taking’ us AFTER our bodies cease to function here on earth. He is there to rescue our spirits, who, without Him, will ‘wander’ aimlessly, forever! We are on our own down here but, we are NOT alone – we can always talk with God to help us make better decisions. Inevitably, though, if it happens here on earth, it’s up to us – our decisions. We NEED God for later on!

So, yes – thank God for ‘taking’ your loved one (believer) to live with Him – His ultimate purpose since the beginning! As intelligent as we think we are, we are not intelligent enough to understand this purpose (although, I hope you are). There is a MUCH better ‘life’ waiting for us AFTERWARDS! Not some ‘witch doctor’ mumbo-jumbo – but, a VERY REAL existence that WILL happen for each and every one of us! Are you prepared to live with God? Or are you living your life in hopelessness, Godless, and empty of knowing your, what could be, a beautiful, indescribable future? Know God – or don’t – you’re free to do what you want. It’s your decision.

Family

Mike's Super Easy Sunday Message

“Boy, the way Glen Miller played…Songs that made the Hit Parade…guys like us we had it made…those were the days.” You know the rest. ‘All in the Family’ – classic TV about, well, a family – complete with disfunction, issues and whatever else families go through. Other TV shows that deal with family-life; Modern Family, Family Ties, Family Matters – and they don’t have to have ‘family’ in their titles - lots of TV shows give us a glimpse of a different family’s life (to let us see ours in another perspective).

Look at your own family for a minute. If you had to choose, who comes to mind as the ‘leader’ of your family – the ‘village elder’, if you will? Usually someone pops into your mind right away. Sometimes it’s the ‘oldest’ and ‘wisest’ of them all. What makes up the family? Of course, there are blood-relatives but, have you considered friends? They are a big part of ‘family’, too – after all, you married a friend, didn’t you? So, family is expanded by NON-blood, too!

How ‘tight’ is your family? Are some of them scattered across the globe? Ones you haven’t seen or been in contact with for years? Is the family able to get together for a weekly meal – complete with the whole tribe to show the family strength? Maybe, that family has ‘lost’ their ‘village elder’. Maybe someone else has taken over that role. It is SOOOOOOO important to KEEP YOUR FAMILY TOGETHER! I know some members want to ‘move away’ and ‘experience something new’ while ‘breathing in fresh air’, ‘better schooling’, yada, yada…think twice about what you wish for. It just might break the family apart.

Have you let God in to be a member of your family? HE becomes ‘The Village Elder’! HE is the ‘glue’ that bonds your family together! HE is the ‘centerpiece’ at the dining room table as you all sit around for a gathering! No, you’re not forced to have a conversation about God – but, you should all be aware that He is there – at the table and in your lives! It keeps families together! No one is alone – not when God is a family member! Before you ‘move away’, ask God if it’s something that He wants, or something that you want. Make it a point to get together, at least once a week, with as many family and friends as you can! It’s healthy, it’s fun, and it’s what God wants to do, too!
